This is the coolest cake of 2008. I just can't stop looking at it!

Mini Weddings
A really fun trend that I am seeing (perhaps economy related?) are what I am calling "Mini Weddings." Bigger than an elopement (or a bread box) but smaller in scale than a small-average wedding of 40-60 guests, Minis include 10-20 participants. Mini Weddings that we have worked with recently have encompassed a bride and groom, parents, siblings and a few close friends.
This spring we are working with a local couple on a "Mini" to Marco Island, Florida. We created cute invitation care packages to get everyone geared up for a warm weather vacation/celebration!
Mini Weddings typically include many of the same elements as traditional weddings-beautiful flowers and decorations, photography coverage, music, dinner- just on a smaller scale, which can be great for the budget-minded bride and groom. These images are from New Yorkers' Aleksey and Winnie's "Destination to Portsmouth" mini wedding last August.
Minis are a great way to celebrate your wedding in an intimate fashion with those closest to you.
